Volvo C30 1.6 D DRIVe Start-Stop – Scandinavian- three-door exclusivity - a test (2010-07-01) (2010-07-01)

The smallest model in the autumn rejuvenated Swedish group Volvo C30 1.6 Diesel engine and a system of Start-Stop, is touted as the most environmentally-friendly car in its class. Declared burning at 4.5 l/100 km for CO2 emissions 99 g / km puts the C30 puts him on the podium amongst the economic car in the premium compact class.

Do we achieve such a results in our test ? To which group of customers Volvo wanted to get a three-door car? Is there a chance of marketing success?

 

Appearance and body

That car is "different from others" I knew that since there were published the first pictures in the post-facelift. Front of the car took a more aggressive, while an exclusive shape. More practical solution is standard steering media, where you can put the service on-board computer, cruise control and audio system controls. The Volvo C30 is a premium class, and such practical solutions found in raising the prestige of the interior of cars already in the lower class. Premium class in the system also requires high-end audio. Summary

Volvo C30 DRIVe 1.6 is certainly a coupe with a premium sent to drivers who appreciate comfort and prestige. Ideal for singles or young couples. Yet in a car of this size have I felt so safe and it does not mean the systems which is packed with Swede coupe, but the feelings of visual overlap driver seated for his wheel. Price of the test model is 87 520 PLN. and for this I missed only the amount of media managers, better quality audio system and six-speed gearbox. "Polar" design dashboard light beige upholstery seat warmer. Perfect fitting details and logic of the central panel after a few minutes to sit in the cockpit of a C30 to convince me to this type of solution. If a small load capacity is not the discomfort of your travel, the C30 can become the best friend of its owner. Very low in dynamic combustion engine is its unquestionable advantage. Barrier such as a car of this size may be the price, but always for the comfort, convenience and prestige have to pay. I'm curious whether the 1.6 C30 DRIVe find recognition among car fleet.
